Our Programs

Seven Pillars.
One Mission.
Zero Compromise.

Every program ABM runs is built around one conviction: people deserve more than a hand out. They deserve a hand up — and someone willing to walk the whole road with them. These seven pillars are that commitment, made real.

Bound by Grace
Pillar 07 — Human & Animal Mutual Healing (NEW — July 2026)

Bound by Grace

ABM's newest pillar — a first-of-its-kind program bridging human crisis services with animal welfare. Built in partnership with the Richmond Humane Society. When people in crisis can't leave dangerous situations because no shelter will take their pet, Bound by Grace closes that gap. And when people in recovery need something that needs them back — the animals are there.

  • Crisis Pet Fostering — secure anonymous intake, temporary foster placement, guaranteed reunification
  • Mobile Comfort Stations — therapy animals brought to ABM recovery groups and crisis centers
  • Volunteer Pipeline — 90-hour pathway to Humane Society employment referral
  • Milestone badges at 10, 25, 50, and 90 volunteer hours
  • Digital platform with anonymous ID system protecting crisis user privacy
  • Partnership: Richmond Humane Society — co-founding organizational partner
